In this episode of the Chemical Watch news podcast global managing editor Kate Lowe is joined by business editor Leigh Stringer, North America managing editor Terry Hyland and science editor Andrew Turley to discuss three current stories.

This includes a look at online retailer Amazon’s decision to ban the use of certain substances and chemical groups in food contact materials, used for its own-brand kitchen products.

We also examine the detail of two important decisions from the US EPA concerning the administration of fees it collects from business to help offset costs of conducting risk evaluations under TSCA.

The European Commission’s plan to publish a mixture assessment factor (MAF) roadmap for public consultation by the end of the year also comes under our scrutiny.

This will be the last news podcast for 2020. Episodes will resume mid-January.
