This week’s Chemical Watch news podcast sees North America managing editor Terry Hyland, Asia desk editor David Macfarlane and emerging markets reporter Ginger Hervey join global managing editor Kate Lowe to discuss the latest developments in chemicals management across the globe.

On the agenda this week are the steps being taken towards establishing the United Nations' post-2020 international chemicals framework.

We also take a look at China’s decision to waive its mandatory requirement for pre-market animal testing on imported general use cosmetics from 1 May.

But we start with the US EPA’s announcement that it is reopening, and seeking public comment on, TSCA risk management rules for five persistent, bioaccumulative and toxic substances – and also delaying enforcement of certain prohibitions on the flame retardant phenol, isopropylated, phosphate (3:1).
